In an interview hosted by Tribune, successful businessman and activist investor Eric Lefkofsky mentioned that Tempus company plans to go beyond cancer treatment to depression and diabetes. 

 

Being one of the companies with the most valued cancer-fighting technology and treatment, the company raised $100 million to expand its operations in fighting other diseases. Led by Eric Lefkofsky, the company has an estimate of 1000 employees, which is a rise from 700 employees in May 2020. Tempus was listed among the companies in Chicago that have a value of more than $1 billion in 2018. According to Eric Lefkofsky, its value has, however, risen since 2018. A variety of investors have invested in the company, including a United Kingdom-based investment management firm named Baillie Gifford.
