Rebel Wilson Becomes part of Cats

Rebel Wilson has been cast in the upcoming movie, Cats, which is a movie musical. Rebel will play Gumbie Jennyanydots that also features other stars like Idris Elba, Jenifer Hudson, Taylor Swift, Ian McKellen, and James Corden. Tom Hooper will be the director of this movie.

The movie tells the story of a Feline tribe known as the Jellicle and the night that they decide the cat that goes to Heaviside Layer and come back to a new life. This movie is the fourth longest-running musical show in the history of Broadway. It is also the longest-running show on Broadway in starting from 1997 to 2006. Cats feature some of the best-known stage songs and among them, “memory.”

Cats’ production is slated to take place in the United Kingdom this year. More cast will also be announced. Lee Hall adapted cats from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical, which was also adapted from Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, a novel by T.S Elliot.

The cat is scheduled for a theatrical release on 20 December 2019. Rebel Wilson is also set to appear in the Meta rom-com Isn’t It Romantic, and the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels remake, the Hustle. WME and Sloan Offer represent Wilson.
